Grateful for Gifts During My Birthday Month – Giving Thanks in Every Day
My birthday isn’t until the 25th but why wait to celebrate God’s goodness for the coming year? I am grateful for gifts every day. My birthday month helps me to practice thanks for every blessing.
Every day is a gift from God. Each day of June, I’m posting on Facebook something I’m thankful for. Nothing big, just simple things I focus on that day.

My birthday month began on June 1st.
Here are some gifts I’m grateful for:
Day 1 – Today I sat on the porch reading God’s Word. Galatians is all about faith in Christ alone. Not trying to be good enough by adding a list. The Law just shows me how much I need His mercy and grace. But He paid the price. Instead of me bearing the curse of sin, He bore it for me. So thankful for this.
Day 2 – So thankful for my church family. I love these brothers and sisters! Supportive, godly, friendly, kind, endearing – they are people I LOVE spending time with.
Day 3 – My Family – hubby, children, daughter-in-love, and three grandsons
Day 4 – I love my writer’s groups (in person and online) for their support and sharpening of my message. So grateful for them and their influence.
Day 5 – I am thankful for my chiropractor. He keeps me in line.
Day 6 – Lovely Day with my hubby. Late Breakfast at Victoria Station Cafe & visiting Antique Marketplace and Jeremiah’s in Putnam, CT
Day 7 – Grateful for the gift of words and creative communication
My Birthday is June 25
This year I will probably be celebrating my birthday in China (if I remember what day it is). I may not post those things if the internet is spotty there, but I will write something each day.
One thing for sure, I will be thankful I can be with my daughter as she adopts another child into our family. How precious is that!!

I am grateful for merely existing. As I tell my clients, God created you because He delighted to do so despite knowing how your life would unfold with all of the positives and negatives. He still chose to give you infinite value and worth by your existence in this world. That’s something to be truly grateful for! Thanks be to God!

I celebrate you and thank God for you and all my writing friends every day. You should have pretty good Internet connectivity in Hunan province. Especially if you’re on your phone. I know the guy who helped install and setup the wireless data gear there for China Unicom some years ago. LOL God’s blessings on your journey with your daughter, and prayers for travel mercies for all.

You made me smile with your comment that your “chiropractor keeps you in line.” Thanks for the reminder to look for things each and every day to be grateful for. My head knows that, but my heart sometimes forgets to look for those things!
I forget too, Julie. Sometimes I remember how I feel when one of my children say thank you and think, that’s how God feels when I’m grateful for His gifts.
Happy Birthday! I love your idea to give thanks for each day of your birthday month. Like Julie, I found number five cute and funny, but I also liked number six. Words and being able to communicate is definitely something I am thankful for as well.
Thanks for your birthday wishes, Stephanie. I just posted another installment of grateful posts 🙂 We just got word yesterday that we have our consulate date scheduled for July 10. And Family Day is July 1st…this is when we meet my new grandson. I have started a journal for him…using my words to tell him some of the things in my heart. Such a gift!
June is a good month for a birthday! I love your plan to use your birthday month to celebrate thankfulness. And, to be in China for such an awesome occasion is the best birthday ever! Praying for you family as you all share God’s love with others through this process.
Thank you, Katherine. I am thankful for another birthday for sure. And, for this new grandson! I am looking forward to this time with him and my daughter. I will also get to see my other two grandsons before we leave for China. So wonderful!
