Happy Thanksgiving
I love this time of year. Somehow I feel more festive, joyful, and intentional about giving thanks and being grateful. How about you?
I have thought about having a Grateful Jar, to add all my thanks-givings during the year. Then during Thanksgiving week, read them as a reminder. Maybe I will do that for 2018.
I have much to give thanks for
I am giving thanks for this past year. I experienced China with my daughter. I became a Lao Lao (grandma). I visited my kids in Georgia and Colorado. A wonderful time with groups of women at spring retreats.
I am also grateful for:
Spending time with family
It’s not easy being away from my family during the holidays. But this year we tried to be intentional about spending time with them. We traveled to see our kids – that was wonderful.
We may Skype this week for Thanksgiving, and again for Christmas. But, boy am I thankful that we have that capability with technology to unite family from four locations.
Enjoying girl-time with friends
I love spending time with friends over coffee or lunch. I also spend time with my mom and sisters – we had a spa day to prepare for a wedding. That was fun – thanks, Kathy!!
Seeing God answer prayer
Every need. Everything. He is at work both in my life and in those I love. So grateful!
Knowing Jesus
I’m grateful He came to us. He bridged the gap between my sin and a Holy God. He paid my debt and wrote REDEEMED on my heart.
Do you find yourself thinking more about being thankful this week?
I’d love to hear about the things you are thankful for…leave a comment if you wish. In the meantime, I am grateful for you.
Enjoy your family and create new memories,
Happy Thanksgiving!
Jeanne

We are truly blessed ………I am Thankful for all the LORD has done for me, for my family. Last January I started a “Thankful jar”……..in January 2018, I will read through each note……..so much has happened in 2017…..it is good to be reminded of His goodness.
Thank you for your encouraging words, Jeanne.
Jan, I didn’t realize you started a thankful jar. What a blessing that will be to remember all He has done.
Happy Thanksgiving! Jeanne. I am grateful that God brought us together and I look forward to sharing more of God’s amazing grace with you.
💗 Sheree
Sheree, it is always wonderful to travel the grace road together. So thankful for your friendship.
I had decided that in 2018 I am starting a jar to put in memorable events and answered prayers so that I could review them at the end of the year. Yes! Thankful. Enjoyed this post.
Carla, what a wonderful idea. I will take the challenge also. I appreciate your friendship too. Thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts.
