My decision to take the month of June off has been a good one. We planned a Colorado travel adventure to visit our daughters. It was our first time visiting so everything was new. The views. Pike’s Peak. Cool nights. No bugs. So, I hope you don’t mind if I share a few photos with you…
Our flight went smooth into Denver airport where our girls were waiting for us. On the drive to Colorado Springs we needed to stop to take in the view…
Colorado travel…my mom, hubby, and I went to visit our daughters
We spent a week touring.
Everywhere you look, Pike’s Peak looms on the horizon – what a breathtaking view!
I marveled at the different flora and fauna:
I loved the Colorado aspen trees. They look similar to a white birch in the trunk but their leaves are heart shaped and turn vivid yellow in the fall. There are some beautiful Google images available.
Hubby visited the World War II Aviation museum. He and our daughters also hiked Cheyenne Mountain. It was wonderful to see where they live, work and play. We enjoyed roasting hotdogs over the fire pit, eating s’mores, and time on the porch.
It is always fun to experience new places; take time to enjoy new things…
And best of all, spending time as a family!!
Enjoy the time you have today. I would love to hear about your adventures.
