Adoption is a major word in my vocabulary this year.
Since February we have been on an adoption journey. My daughter, Alicia is adopting from China. I’m a grandma…and hubby is a grandpa to this little guy we affectionately call, Little Dude.
Adopting is all about loving the forgotten ones and making them part of your family. It’s about choosing, and doing all kinds of crazy things to make it legal. It is about putting aside self and making this little person more important than anything.Adopting is all about loving the forgotten and making them part of your family. Click To Tweet
I guess what I have seen this year, clearer than ever before, is this is what Jesus does for us. He chooses us, loves us even when we are unlovable, and did something crazy when He went to the cross so He could make it legal.
It’s about a love that grew in God’s heart for us—a love so huge that He sent His son, Jesus to die on the cross so we could join His family. It’s about becoming a son (and daughter)—scripture uses the word son because the connotation means that we inherit everything.
We are heirs to everything God has for us.

Adoption is a beautiful thing! And what God offers us is a forever family.
If you don’t know Jesus, will you contact me so I can share Him with you? His love for you is growing in His heart and He wants to adopt you too.
Counting down to our departure day…it won’t be long now.
